Julia Roberts: I risked career by not having a face-lift

In the wake of scrutiny over Renee Zellweger's face and Kylie Jenner's lips, Julia Robert is stepping into the debate about plastic surgery in Hollywood.

In a new interview, "The Normal Heart" actress, who turned 47 on Tuesday, claims she put her career at risk by not going under the knife.

"By Hollywood standards, I guess I've already taken a big risk in not having had a face-lift," Roberts told the U.K.'s You Magazine (via the Telegraph) while discussing her role as an ambassador for beauty brand Lancome.

She added, "But I've told Lancome that I want to be an aging model -- so they have to keep me for at least five more years until I'm over 50."

Roberts also talked about finding peace through "studying yoga on a more conscious level" and removing clutter from her life.

"It's about non-grasping, non-hoarding, cleaning out your closet, dusting out your mind and letting go of the things that weigh you down mentally and emotionally," the Oscar winner and mother of three said. "There's a lightness to my life now -- an airy quality of not taking things too seriously. That's happiness."
