Juan Pablo Galavis will star in "The Bachelor"
There's a new "Bachelor" ready to find a love connection.
Following Monday's "Bachelorette" finale, it was announced that Juan Pablo Galavis, 32, will star in the upcoming season of ABC's "The Bachelor."
"In the history of this show, no guy has made a greater impact with less screen time," host Chris Harrison said of the 32-year-old budding reality TV star, who was one of Desiree Hartsock's suitors on "The Bachelorette" this season.
"He is so sensual and charming," Hartsock said at one point during the season. "Just his accent alone is sexy. He is like a dream of a man." But not dreamy enough for Hartsock apparently, who ended up choosing Chris Siegfried as her match. Now Galavis will have a host of women from which to choose when "The Bachelor" returns in January 2014.
Born in New York, Galavis grew up in Venezuela where he played soccer before moving to Miami. He has a daughter named Camila, who was born in February 2009. "I'm going to find hopefully the person who is going to join me and my daughter. That's what I'm looking for," Galavis said.
