Josh Duhamel, Julianne Hough attend "Safe Haven" premiere
Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough were all smiles on the red carpet Tuesday night for the Los Angeles premiere of their new romantic drama, "Safe Haven," based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks.
The film is directed by Lasse Hallstrom, the same filmmaker behind 2010's "Dear John," another movie based on a Sparks novel.
Hough plays Katie, a mysterious young woman with a dark past who arrives in the sleepy town of Southport, N.C., and slowly begins a relationship with Alex, a charming widower played by Duhamel.
The film's premiere was held at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
Others in attendance at the premiere included Hough's boyfriend, "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest, her brother (and fellow "Dancing with the Stars" alum) Derek Hough and Duhamel's wife, singer Fergie of The Black Eyed Peas."Safe Haven" opens in theaters on Valentine's Day.
