Joseph Gordon-Levitt joins "Sin City" sequel

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is heading to "Sin City."
The "Dark Knight Rises" actor has signed on for a lead role in the noir sequel "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For."
Deadline reports that Gordon-Levitt will play Johnny, one of the core characters in the film's overlapping storylines.
"A Dame to Kill For" is the follow-up to the 2005 film "Sin City." Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson and Jessica Alba are reprising their roles from the first film. The cast also includes newcomers like Dennis Haysbert, according to Deadline. The Hollywood Reporter added that Josh Brolin has been cast as Dwight, a part played by Clive Owen in the first "Sin City" movie.
Frank Miller, who wrote the "Sin City" graphic novels, is writing and directing the film with Robert Rodriguez. The sequel is scheduled to arrive in theaters on Oct. 4, 2013.
