Johnny Depp rocks out with Alice Cooper (Video)
(CBS) Alice Cooper played a gig at London's 100 Club on Sunday night with a equally-well-known special guest - Johnny Depp.
The actor, who played in a band before his movie career took off, came up on stage and helped the rock legend perform "School's Out" and "I'm Eighteen." (Scroll down for another video.)
Before the gig, Cooper posted a picture of Depp, with a guitar in hand, on his Facebook page.
"Johnny Depp!! Waiting to jump on stage with Alice for 18 and Schools Out!" he wrote.
Fans were reportedly impressed by Depp's performance.
"So the Alice Cooper special guest at the 100 Club was Johnny Depp and the boy can play. Totally and utterly amazing gig," one tweeted, according to The Sun. Another wrote, "Johnny was playing the guitar and he can bloody play too! @100clubLondon was certainly alive tonight, one of the best gigs ever."
Cooper, who reportedly introduced Depp as "the blues master, Mr. Johnny D from Kentucky," even offered the Oscar-nominee a permanent spot with the band.
The Sun reports that he told Depp, "I think we could use another guitar player, right? Johnny, this whole movie thing ... If it doesn't pan out, join us, okay?"
But don't expect the 48-year-old actor to give up his day job - he's currently in the U.K. working on Tim Burton's latest project, "Dark Shadows."
