John Ramsey, father of slain child beauty queen JonBenet, remarries

(CBS) - The tragedy-plagued father of slain child beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey has remarried.

The 67-year-old John Ramsey wed Las Vegas-based fashion designer Jan Rousseaux. 53, on July 21 in Charlevoix, Michigan.

"I have no doubt she will be smiling," Ramsey told the National Enquirer of JonBenet, who would have turned 21 on Aug. 6.

JonBenet Ramsey was six years old when she was murdered on Christmas night, 1996, in the family's Boulder, Colo., home. The case has never been solved.

John Ramsey's wife, Patsy, died of ovarian cancer in 2006. Another daughter, Elizabeth, died in a 1992 car accident at the age of 22.

Ramsey met Rousseaux, a divorcee with two grown children, at a mutual friend's wedding in Denver two years ago, but a romantic relationship didn't develop until last June, according to the Enquirer.

Ramsey also admitted to having a brief relationship that ended several years ago with Beth Twitty, the mother of Natalee Holloway, the Alabama teen who went missing in Aruba in 2005.
