John Leguizamo takes aim at Bernie Sanders' immigration record

Make no mistake, John Leguizamo is decidedly Team Hillary when it comes to the presidential race.

And he's using his social media might to make that clear, taking to Twitter to slam Democratic contender Bernie Sanders for the Vermont senator's record on immigration.

"I'm not negative tweeting, but Sander is not for Latinos," Leguizamo tweeted out to his half a million followers. "Twice he has voted against immigrants."

The instance Leguizamo cited is Sanders' vote on a comprehensive immigration reform package in 2007, which included a guest worker provision. During last week's Democratic debate, Hillary Clinton criticized Sanders' vote against the bill, but fact-checking organization Politifact has deemed the argument that Sanders voted against comprehensive immigration reform to be "largely inaccurate."

Sanders has argued that the bill's guest worker program would have promoted poor working conditions and driven down wages for workers already in the U.S.
