John F. Kennedy's Inaugural Address (Video)
Fifty years ago, John F. Kennedy took the oath of office to become the 35th president of the United States. He delivered an inaugural address that gripped the nation with powerful lines such as, "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country."
Kennedy's speech was delivered at a pivotal point in the nation's history, in the midst of the Cold War and the civil rights movement. He was the youngest American president ever elected and the first Catholic elected president. Furthermore, he was elected by a slim margin -- compelling Kennedy to convince Americans he was up to the task.
