Joan Rivers remembered by daughter Melissa on 1-year anniversary of death
Melissa Rivers marked the one-year anniversary of her mother Joan's death on FRiday with a touching note on Twitter.
"This year was the year of firsts: first holidays, first birthdays, first everythings without mom, without grandma," Melissa wrote, adding, "While it's been difficult, I've been amazed by the outpouring of love and overwhelming kindness we've received from family, friends and people whose lives were touched by the woman they knew as Joan - a woman we all miss so very much."
Joan died on Sept. 4, 2014 following a surgical procedure. She was 81.
Earlier this week, Melissa made her debut as host of the E! show, "Fashion Police."
