Joan Rivers' funeral set for Sunday in New York

Joan Rivers' funeral is scheduled for Sunday in New York.

CBS New York reports that services will be held at Temple Emmanual-El in Manhattan.

Rivers was rushed to the hospital last week after suffering complications during a throat procedure. She died at 1:17 p.m. ET Thursday in New York surrounded by family and friends.

"My mother's greatest joy in life was to make people laugh," her daughter, Melissa Rivers, said. "Although that is difficult to do right now, I know her final wish would be that we return to laughing soon."

Tributes have been pouring in for the late fashion television host, with stars from TV, film and fashion remembering their friend.

On Friday morning, the steps of Rivers' Upper East Side apartment building were filled with flowers.

The clinic where Rivers had her procedure is now under investigation by the state health department.
