Investigators discovered ligature marks on the neck of 19-year-old Jessie Blodgett, who had performed in a production of "Fiddler on the Roof" hours before her death, according to the report. Police are tapping into Blodgett's phone records and Facebook account, according to the report.
Documents indicate Blodgett's mother placed clothing in her daughter's bedroom around 8 a.m.on Monday July 15. When Blodgett's mother returned home from work shortly after noon, she discovered her daughter dead in her bed and called 911.
Blodgett was reportedly a student at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and also taught students in piano, violin and voice.
The Hartford Players performed the final two productions of "Fiddler on the Roof" in her honor, according to WDJT, keeping a lit candle on the stage.
"No one expects that someone this young and vibrant and wonderful, talented young lady, that she would just suddenly be gone," the show's director Jerry Becker told the station. "Obviously we were all in shock and it unsettled everyone throughout the cast."
