Police search for missing Pa. daycare worker

NORTHAMPTON, Pa. -- Investigators in Pennsylvania are searching for a daycare worker who vanished during her lunch break Friday, reports CBS Philly.

Jessica Padgett, 33, went missing Friday between 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. from Duck Duck Goose Child Care in Northampton, north of Allentown.

Padgett was expected to return after the lunch break, but never showed, according to the station. Investigators reportedly found her car in the parking lot of a Dollar General about a mile from her work.

According to Philly.com, Padgett has two children and one stepchild. She married her boyfriend of eight years in September.

Friends and family are baffled by her disappearance, reports the website. Her sister Kristi Davis, due to give birth next week, told the Lehigh Valley Express Times Padgett contacted her in a Facebook message the day she vanished.

"I want to see my niece being born," Padgett reportedly wrote.

Family are passing out fliers and using social media to spread the word about her disappearance, including launching the Facebook page, "Help find Jessica Padgett."

Padgett is about five feet, four inches tall and 130 pounds. She has a footprint tattoo on her shoulder. According to Philly.com, she has brown hair and hazel eyes and was last seen wearing gray sweatpants and a black sweatshirt that read "Duck Duck Goose" on the front and "Staff" on the back.
