Jessa (Duggar) Seewald shares photos of baby Spurgeon
Jessa (Duggar) Seewald is more than happy to show off photos of her baby boy, Spurgeon Elliot Seewald.
The young mother and her husband, Ben Seewald, can't stop gushing about little Spurgeon on Instagram and Twitter.
The Seewalds first introduced Spurgeon in a video announcement. The baby was born on Nov. 5, 2015, just one day after Jessa turned 23. Spurgeon Elliot weighed 9 pounds 11 ounces at birth and was 21.25 inches.
Ben posted a split screen of Spurgeon, comparing the baby to a kissing face emoji, and Jessa posted a picture of baby Spurgeon smiling while sleeping, writing, "Have to wonder what it is that babies dream about..."
Jessa also penned an affectionate tweet about Ben, saying, "To see him so tenderly caring for our baby... melts my heart!" along with a photo of Ben holding the baby.
Jessa and Ben had trouble choosing a name for their child, and didn't name him after a few days after he was born. They named Spurgeon after a pastor.
"Charles Spurgeon was a preacher who lived in the 19th century and he had a big impact on our lives and his writings and sermons are still around today," said Ben. "Elliot was the last name of Jim Elliot and Elisabeth Elliot."
