On Tuesday, the witness known as "Victim 1" tearfully recalled being subjected to oral sex by Sandusky during sleepovers at the defendant's house. And assistant coach Mike McQueary recounted hearing "slapping noises" and seeing Sandusky standing behind a boy in a Penn State shower in 2001.
McQueary's father, John, appeared likely to be among those taking the stand soon. Before the start of Wednesday's proceedings, he entered the courthouse through a canopied door used by witnesses.
According to PennLive.com, there was no "gotcha" moment during the cross examination of McQueary, who withstood questioning about his lack of certainty regarding the date of the alleged shower assault. Prosecutors had initially said that they believed the incident occurred in March 2002, but now maintain it happened in February 2001.
PennLive.com also reports that McQueary testified that once the investigation began, at least seven years after the alleged incident, he was unable to be completely certain of the date.
Six more accusers are expected to take the stand. The identities of two of Sandusky's alleged victims remain unknown.
Sandusky faces a total of 52 criminal counts. He maintains his innocence.
