Jerry Jones' glasses wiped by his son-in-law during Cowboys-Giants game
(CBS News) Jerry Jones is many things. He is a rapper. He is an actor. But above all, he is a successful businessman who owns the Dallas Cowboys.
So it is perhaps no surprise that the 69-year-old owner of a team that was just valued at $2.1 billion has a guy who performs menial tasks for him. Apparently one of those tasks is cleaning his eye glasses.
Right after the Cowboys scored their first touchdown against the Giants Wednesday night, TV cameras showed Jones in his luxury box as a man behind him wiped a pair of glasses and handed them back to the soda-sipping tycoon. The mystery servant was later identified as a family member:
Before you start thinking Shy is an oppressed son-in-law, don't feel too bad for him. He may wipe spectacles in a luxury box but he also lives in the lap of luxury. According to D Magazine, Shy and his wife Charlotte (aka Jerry Jones' daughter) live in a 10,228 square foot Dallas mansion valued at nearly $10 million. So maybe Shy has a guy who cleans his glasses too.
