Jenny McCarthy and Her New Beau Jason Toohey

NEW YORK (CBS) Jenny McCarthy and Jason Toohey are getting serious.

McCarthy revealed this weekend that her split from Jim Carrey helped her find herself, and her relationship with 35-year-old former fitness model Jason Toohey has worked because of their honesty, according to published reports. Jenny McCarthy's details are all part of her promotion of a new book on dating.

"I got the book deal the same time Jim and I split after five years together. While researching and writing it, I looked inside of myself and began to see what was wrong with me instead of blaming him for everything" she told People magazine.

Toohey is also founder of Eyedews, an under eye mask treatment, for which McCarthy has been promoting.

McCarthy is currently in pre-production on her new talk show for the Oprah network, a deal first revealed her in May of 2009. Her current book follows previous successes with "Louder Than Words: A Mother's Journey in Healing Autism" and "Mother Warriors: A Nation of Parents Healing Autism Against All Odds."
