Jennifer's Love Hewitt's mother dies at 67

(CBS News) Jennifer Love Hewitt's mother, Patricia, died Tuesday from complications due to cancer, a rep for actress confirmed in a statement. She was 67.

"Her family mourns her loss," the rep said, according to Access Hollywood. "She was an angel to all who knew her and they are grateful she is now in a better place. They ask for privacy at this difficult time."

Hewitt, 33, was attending the 52nd Monte Carlo TV Festival in Monaco this week, but left on Tuesday, according to reports.

"The Client List" star was reportedly very close to her mother. The two vacationed together and were regularly spotted out together in public, the Daily Mail reports.

Patricia Hewitt is also survived by a son, Dr. Todd Hewitt.
