The couple announced they were expecting in August. Garner told Jay Leno in January that they knew the sex of the baby, but were not going to share it, according to People.
Though, in September Garner discussed with Ellen DeGeneres, on her show, the possibility of having a boy.
"It would be so weird to have a boy," Garner told DeGeneres, but she also said it would be "cool and different," according to People.
Ben Affleck announced his son's name his facebook page saying, "We are happy to announce on February 27, Jennifer gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Samuel Garner Affleck."
Little Samuel joins the couple's two other children 6-year-old Violet Anne and 3-year-old Seraphina Rose.
Garner and Affleck met on the set of 2003's "Daredevil" and were married in 2005.
