Jason Schwartzman and Wife Expecting First Child

NEW YORK (CBS) Jason Schwartzman was happy to announce on Wednesday that the mustache he's sporting is for an upcoming role - fatherhood.

The actor confirmed during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" that he and wife Brady Cunningham will welcome their first child in December.

"I have this mustache, and the reason I have this mustache is, when I was young, my father had a mustache...growing up, it embarrassed me," he explained of his late father.

"I'm expecting a child in December...I decided to grow out this mustache, so when we take photos...my boy or girl, whatever it is...they will be embarrassed. So I am now thinking of ways to embarrass my unborn child."

Schwartzman is currently promoting his upcoming film "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World." He and Cunningham married on July 11, 2009.
