James Iha plays with Smashing Pumpkins for the first time in 16 years
Longtime Smashing Pumpkin fans got quite the treat during the band's Los Angeles concert Saturday.
Former lead guitarist James Iha rejoined the group for a number of songs from the band's back catalogue, marking the first time he'd performed with Billy Corgan in 16 years.
Iha left the group when it disbanded in 2000, and he hasn't taken part in the reunited version featuring original members Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin in recent years. But given the friendly nature of Iha's appearance Saturday -- which also happened to be his birthday -- there doesn't seem to be any bad blood between the former bandmates.
The only one missing now is former bassist D'Arcy Wreztky.
