"Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit" first trailer debuts

Jack Ryan is back.

The first trailer for "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit" has debuted, with Chris Pine taking on the role of the CIA agent.

Its release comes the same week as the death of the man who created Jack Ryan, author Tom Clancy.

"Shadow Hunter," an original story not based on any of Clancy's novels, follows a young Jack Ryan starting his career in the present day.

Pine is the fourth actor to play Ryan -- Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford and Ben Affleck all took on the role before him.

"Jack Ryan: Shadow Hunter," also starring Kevin Costner and Keria Knightly, is set to arrive in theaters on Christmas Day.
