(CBS) CHICAGO - Two Philadelphia baseball fans, visiting Chicago for the Cubs' series with the Phillies, were arrested early Tuesday morning inside historic Wrigley Field and charged with criminal trespassing, CBS Chicago reported.

A Cubs spokesman says the men wanted to get their hands on some of the ballpark's legendary ivy as a souvenir.

Both "ivy leaguers" are 25-years-old, and from Chalfont, Pa., north of Philadelphia.

According to CBS Chicago, Steven Gudknecht and Kevin Burge are about 6-foot-3 and 6-foot-2 respectively, but police say they managed to squeeze through the bars on a window and sneak into Wrigley Field.

They say the wayward fans were spotted by Wrigley Field security and arrested about 4:15 a.m. Tuesday.

"They think Wrigley Field is such a cool place, they probably just wanted to get their pictures on the field, if I know them," said Kevin Burge's mother, Rose.

"They're big-time baseball fans. Stupid prank, I'm sure. Stupid move," she added.
