Is Rosie Perez leaving "The View"?
Is Rosie Perez leaving "The View" after only four months?
That's what Variety is reporting, noting that the 50-year-old co-host won't return to the daytime talk show after she wraps up her January run in the Broadway play "Fish in the Dark."
ABC News tells Mediaite that Perez's status on "The View" has not changed.
On Thursday's episode, co-host Rosie O'Donnell echoed those sentiments: "No matter what you read anywhere, Rosie Perez is also coming back after she is done rehearsing her play. Her play, the new Larry David play that she's starring in ['Fish in the Dark'] opens soon. And then she will be back here at her job, regardless of what you hear in other shows or read in magazines as I did last night at 11:40 and went, 'What the f***?!'"
During Perez's time away from the show, "The View" has featured a series of guest co-hosts to fill her place. Perez co-hosts alongside O'Donnell, Nicolle Wallace and Whoopi Goldberg.
Perez has appeared in the films "White Man Can't Jump," "Do the Right Thing," "Fearless" and "Pineapple Express."
