Can Ebola fever symptoms be masked by Tylenol?

Jessica Brasil: Can the fever be masked by acetaminophen and stuff? Say long enough to get through an airport?

Dr. Agus: Yup, Tylenol or ibuprofen will mask the fever allowing people through security on planes.

Susan Annis: Do you know for certain that Ebola is not airborne?

Dr. Agus: We don't unfortunately. When someone with Ebola coughs, fluid with virus comes out. The sad truth is that we don't know that much about his kind of transmission...

Jeff Koster: Why are we moving people with Ebola all over the U.S.?

Dr. Agus: The question is a good one. The CDC director says all hospitals can treat this, but by moving the patients it certainly questions that statement. There are only about 20 beds total in the 4 special units, not enough!!

Norah O'Donnell: Hi Dr. Agus! This Ebola scare comes around the same time as flu season. What are some general practices we should be embracing to stay healthy?

Dr. Agus: Hi Norah! Great question. 1. Get the flu shot!!!! I can't overemphasize that one 2. Wash hands frequently 3. If you are sick or one of your children are sick stay home for the day or have them skip school 4. Use common sense, if someone looks sick tell them to stay away!
