Is a "Full House" reboot in the works?
Have mercy! Are the cast members of "Full House" planning to reunite?
TV Guide reports that Warner Bros. is considering launching a new version of the sitcom featuring some of the original cast members. John Stamos is said to be helping spearhead the effort as he has a stake in the series.
Original executive producer Bob Boyett and creator Jeff Franklin are also in the mix, says TV Guide. And even more exciting for fans -- Candace Cameron Bure (D.J.), Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie), Andrea Barber (Kimmy) are reportedly all ready to sign up. Bob Saget (Danny) and Dave Coulier (Joey) are also in talks, according to reports. There's no word on the status of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who both played Michelle Tanner.
What we do know is that the cast members have largely stayed close friends over the years.
Plus, we recently a saw a partial reunion with Stamos, Saget and Coulier in a Super Bowl commercial for Dannon Oikos yogurt earlier this year.
Around that time, Stamos told CBS News, "We're working on something that's sort of reunion-like, not with the full cast. I can't tell you too much but it is sort of a reunion type thing with the girls."
He added, "The legacy [of the show] is so important...I don't want anything to mess what we did up. We'll only do it if it's something that will augment the show and maybe add a little more happiness to what people get out of it."
"Full House" ran on ABC from 1987-1995 and lives on in syndication.
Looks like "Full House" fans will have to wait to see how these reported talks play out. And if it doesn't come through? All we have to say is "How rude!"
