Incredible time-lapse video of SF-Oakland Bay bridge build
(CBS News) I've only been to California one time, so I can't call myself an expert on the way things go down over there. But, if there is one thing I've heard over and over about the Golden State it's that the traffic is horrible. So, the completion of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge must be some very welcome news. It took 15 years to build. But, since time-lapse technology is awesome, you can click the video above posted by Earthcam and watch from 2008 until now in a mere four minutes.
"Way to go human race!" I just wanna scream that every time I see a bridge like this or a towering skyscraper or a stuffed crust pizza. It's nothing short of amazing. And this thing can withstand earthquakes -- big ones. I guess that's what you get when you spend 6.4 billion bucks. I hoped they saved some money to spend on a good cleaning crew. I mean, a white bridge -- that's gonna need some upkeep.
