Hurricane Sandy causes school closings, delays
Cities and towns across the U.S. Northeast are cancelling public schools on Monday in anticipation of a superstorm that is threatening millions of people with heavy rain, flooding, winds and snow.
Hurricane Sandy is expected to make landfall on the mid-Atlantic coast late Monday or early Tuesday, most likely in New Jersey, colliding with a wintry storm moving in from the west and cold air streaming down from the arctic.
