"Horrific" scene inside New Orleans home where 3 found dead, 1 injured
NEW ORLEANS -- Police are asking the public for information after discovering three people dead and one injured in a home early Friday morning in the Gentilly section of New Orleans.
Details of the crime and victims are somewhat unclear. NOPD Superintendant Michael Harrison told reporters that the deceased victims were shot and that “children were involved,” but according to CBS affiliate WWL, police later declined to confirm children were among those killed or injured and how the victims were killed.
“We are working to identify motive, we are working to identify how, or why this would have happened,” said NOPD Superintendant Michael Harrison.
WWL reports that a police report said two of the deceased were male and one was female. An additional female was in critical condition.
“We do not have a perpetrator in custody,” said Supt. Harrison. “Please call Crimestoppers. Please call homicide. We can use any information about anything you know about this incident, about this house…please call us because every bit of information right now will be helpful….you can do it anonymously, but this is how we solve these cases, by people being brave and stepping forward.”
Asked for his reaction to the crime scene, Supt. Harrison said: “This is horrific. It’s horrible.”
