Gwyneth Paltrow speaks out following split

Gwyneth Paltrow is sharing some gratitude in her latest issue of GOOP.

The actress' lifestyle newsletter included a message expressing thanks after she and husband Chris Martin announced earlier this week that they are splitting up.

Paltrow, 41, ended her introduction to this week's issue with a postscript that read: "CM and I in deep gratitude for the support of so many," along with a heart symbol.

She and Martin, 37, said this week that they are "consciously uncoupling" after 11 years of marriage.

"We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us," their statement said, "and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate."

A day before that announcement, the pair reportedly traveled to the Bahamas with their two children -- Apple, 9, and Moses, 7 -- apparently to avoid the media attention that would ensue.
