"Guardians of the Galaxy" trailer debuts

The wait is over -- after getting a short tease earlier Tuesday, the first full trailer for "Guardians of the Galaxy" has arrived.

Actor Chris Pratt stopped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Tuesday night to debut the footage. He joked that the Guardians of the Galaxy are "badasses who go around shootin' people and bein' all tough and bad...in space!"

If that description isn't enough to hook you, the star-studded cast should. Pratt's co-stars include Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana, Benicio del Toro, Vin Diesel, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, John C. Reilly, Djimon Hounsou and Glenn Close.

The James Gunn-directed Marvel movie hits theaters Aug. 1.
