Groundhog Day? Again? Not exactly...

(CBS/AP) WHITEHALL, Pa. - A stowaway groundhog created quite a mess, not to mention a neighborhood ruckus that drew police, a state wildlife officer and even the mayor, when it became trapped inside a car in suburban Allentown.

The only thing this groundhog didn't do was predict the weather.

The fat, furry rodent tore up the back seat of a 1995 Pontiac Bonneville and used the car as a toilet. The Morning Call of Allentown reports that 20-old Tyler Duncan of New Tripoli made the unpleasant discovery Sunday afternoon when he returned to his car following a sleepover at a friend's house.

Authorities believe the groundhog traveled with Duncan from his home in New Tripoli to Whitehall Township. Eventually, the varmint was caught, put in a cage and released to the wild.

Duncan is hoping there will not be a sequel.
