"Gremlins" may spawn again
Lock your fridges and turn off the water because it looks like the Gremlins are rising again.
Warner Bros., which distributed the 1984 original, will apparently proceed with its plans to remake the horror classic about the fuzzy little troublemakers, according to horror movie news site, Bloody Disgusting.
"Pride And Prejudice And Zombies" author Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg will produce the reboot of the Joe Dante classic. The pair have previously partnered on MTV's original comedy "The Hard Times of RJ Burger." Most recently, Grahame-Smith wrote the scripts for Tim Burton's "Dark Shadows" update and the movie version of his novel "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter."
Warner Bros. has not officially confirmed the report, and there is no work yet on who will write the script or star in the movie. But if it follows in the all-star pedigree of the original "Gremlins" -- which was directed by Joe Dante, written by Chris Columbus and produced by Steven Spielberg -- it looks like those little fuzzies and their dangerous friends may live to eat past midnight again.
Tell us: Do think that "Gremlins" should be remade? Would you watch a reboot?
