'Green Hornet' Star Edward Furlong Jailed for Violating Restraining Order, Say Reports
NEW YORK (CBS) Eddie Furlong, best known for his role as John Connor in "Terminator 2" and star of the upcoming movie "Green Hornet," has reportedly been arrested for allegedly violating a restraining order obtained by his estranged wife.
The 33-year-old actor was taken into custody Tuesday morning during a court appearance for violating the order, according to the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office, which requires him to stay 100 yards away from his wife, Rachel Kneeland.
Furlong was subsequently bailed out, according to TMZ.
Kneeland and Furlong are going through a nasty divorce.
In court documents obtained by People Magazine, Kneeland alleged that her husband "pushed" and "bruised" her and left threatening messages claiming "he would hire people to come and beat [her] with chains and bats."
Though Furlong has denied the allegations, a judge issued a three-year restraining order against the actor and a court order demanding he undergo counseling, according to the magazine.
People reports that the actor's arrest came the morning after he attended the premiere of "Green Hornet" in Los Angeles.
The film is scheduled to open in wide release Friday.
