It turns out Green Day will do the honors at the April 14 ceremony in Cleveland. Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan, drummer Steven Adler, drummer Matt Sorum and keyboardist Dizzy Reed plan to attend the ceremony in Cleveland.

There's still no word on whether Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose and musician Izzy Stradlin will attend. It's also unclear whether Guns N' Roses or Green Day will perform.

As for the rest of the previously announced presenters and inductees, hip hop artist Chuck D will induct the Beastie Boys; John Mellencamp will induct Donovan; Steve Van Zandt will induct the Small Faces/Faces, which included Rod Stewart; Chris Rock will induct the Red Hot Chili Peppers (Rock is a big fan of the group); Bette Midler will induct late singer-songwriter Laura Nyro; ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill will induct late guitarist-singer Freddie King; and Carole King will induct the late veteran music mogul, Don Kirshner.

The Blue Caps, the Comets, the Crickets, the Famous Flames, the Midnighters and the Miracles will be inducted by Smokey Robinson.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will air May 5 on HBO.
