"Gone Girl": First look at Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne
We're now getting a first look at the big-screen adaptation of Gillian Flynn's "Gone Girl," featuring Ben Affleck.
The actor stars as Nick Dunne, who becomes a suspect after the disappearance of his wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike), on the couple's five-year wedding anniversary.
Twentieth Century Fox debuted the first image from the film on its Twitter account, showing Affleck standing beside a "missing" poster for Amy.
Affleck said last month that the movie stays faithful to Flynn's book.
"I don't want to give away too much, because if you know the book, you know that there are set of reveals that you would want to maintain the integrity of," he told Entertainment Weekly. "But I will say that Gillian adapted it and I think it’s very, very faithful to her book. If you read the book and liked it, you will definitely like the movie."
"Gone Girl," directed by David Fincher ("The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," "The Social Network"), is set to arrive in theaters on Oct. 3, 2014.
