"Glee" members react to Demi Lovato casting news

Fox has yet to make an official announcement, but the "Glee" cast members are already reacting to news that Demi Lovato will appear in the Fox show's upcoming fifth season.

On Monday, TVLine.com reported that Lovato had signed on for a "significant arc" (likely at least six episodes). She's expected to portray play Dani, a struggling artist in New York City who becomes friends with of Rachel (Lea Michele) and Santana (Naya Rivera). Lovato will likely perform a lot of numbers alongside new cast member Adam Lambert on the series.

Lovato is no stranger to the small screen, having starred in Disney's "Sonny With a Chance." She's also made guest appearances on "Grey's Anatomy" and "Prison Break," as well as served as an "X Factor" judge.

Season 5 of "Glee" went into production this month following the death of leading cast member Cory Monteith. His death will be addressed in the third episode of the season.
