It's a simple (and sad) fact of life: Windows-powered PCs slow down over time. I'll spare you the techie details as to why, other than to say it's analogous to the way a body's arteries get clogged.
IObit's Advanced SystemCare Pro is kind of like angioplasty for your PC. It cleans the Windows Registry, removes junk files, defragments the hard drive, and so on. It's a total system optimizer -- and from today through Wednesday, May 19, Advanced SystemCare Pro is available free of charge.
The utility normally sells for $29.95 (though it's been on sale for $19.95 for some time). Granted, many of the same features are available in freeware tools like CCleaner and Defraggler -- but your Advanced SystemCare Pro license includes a year of technical support. That's something you rarely get from freebies.
The program also promises a "turbo boost" for your PC as well as protection from spyware. I think you're probably better off with whatever anti-spyware software you're currently using -- but if you're not using any, well, here you go.
If your system feels sluggish or just isn't working the way it used to, I'd say let Advanced SystemCare Pro have at it. It might just fix some problems and goose the performance.
On the other hand, if everything's working well, just grab the license and hold off installing the software until you need it.
Advanced SystemCare Pro is compatible with Windows 2000 and later.
