Georgia Tech investigating "rapebait" email
ATLANTA Georgia Tech is investigating reports that a fraternity member wrote an email with instructions for "luring rapebait" at parties with the help of alcohol. The email has been widely circulated on Internet sites.
Georgia Tech said in a statement to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that its Office of Student Integrity is looking into the matter. School officials say that Phi Kappa Tau's national office and Georgia Tech's student-led Interfraternity Council are also reviewing the situation.
The Phi Kappa Tau national office in Oxford, Ohio did not respond to the newspaper's request for additional information.
School officials say the Atlanta institution does not condone such behavior.
Georgia Tech is formally known as the Georgia Institute of Technology.
