George Lopez and Wife Split
NEW YORK (CBS) George Lopez and wife Ann Lopez are calling it quits.
The couple is ending their marriage after 17 years together.
"George and Ann Lopez have made the decision to end their 17-year marriage," a rep for the "Lopez Tonight" host told People magazine on Monday. "The decision is amicable and by mutual agreement."
"They remain dedicated parents, and committed partners in business and their philanthropic organization, The Lopez Foundation," the rep continued.
The two married in 1993 and have one child, Mayan Lopez.
In 2005, Ann Lopez famously donated a kidney to her husband. At the time, he told the magazine, "I can't pay her back, but what I can do is make her as happy as she thought I would when we first got married."
