George Clooney, Jessica Chastain and Michelle Williams to present at the DGA awards ceremony
(CBS) George Clooney, Jessica Chastain and Michelle Williams are among the presenters lined up for Saturday's Directors Guild Awards ceremony in Los Angeles.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, others expected to take part in the red carpet gala, which is not being televised, are Ben Kingsley, Octavia Spencer, Owen Wilson, Berenice Bejo, Jean Dujardin, Jon Cryer and Laura Dern.
Golden Globe winner Kelsey Grammer is the host, and DGA president Taylor Hackford also is expected to take part.
The film nominees are "Hugo" director Martin Scorsese, "Midnight in Paris" creator Woody Allen, David Fincher for "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," Michel Hazanavicius for "The Artist," and Alexander Payne for "The Descendants."
The DGA award is seen as an accurate predictor for the Oscars. The DGA winner almost always goes on to win the Best Director trophy at the Academy Awards ceremony.
Nominated for TV awards are "Modern Family," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "General Hospital" and "All My Children."
