"Gene Simmons Family Jewels": KISS rocker proposes to Shannon Tweed (Video)
(CBS) On the season finale of "Gene Simmons Family Jewels," Gene Simmons popped the question to longtime girlfriend Shannon Tweed.
"I come with so much baggage, but you're the only friend I've got," the KISS rocker, 61, told Tweed, 54, while the couple was vacationing in Belize. "I used to watch movies where they say, 'I can't live without you,' but for me it's true."

Simmons then dropped to his knee and asked Tweed to marry him.
But, the proposal footage shown on Tuesday night was reportedly taped "months ago," and their relationship woes have since been making headlines.
Tweed told People magazine in a recent interview that she has moved out of the couple's home and there's a "slim chance" that they'll get back together. And last month, while promoting the A&E reality series, she said on the "Today" show their relationship had "pretty much unraveled."

Simmons and Tweed have been together for 28 years, and have two children together - Nick, 22, and Sophie, 18.
After the finale (and the proposal) footage aired, both Simmons and Tweed sent out messages on Twitter, telling fans that they are working on their relationship.
"Shannon and I work on our relationship every day," Simmons tweeted. "One day at a time. Thanks for watching. When we figure out our lives, you will know."
Tweed wrote, "We are taking it day by day. Stay tuned."
