"Game of Thrones" walking tours launched in Croatia, Northern Ireland
Afterreeling from Sunday's harrowing episode (namely the massacre at the Red Wedding) and tuning in for this week's season finale, "Game of Thrones" fans may soon find themselves in Westeros withdrawal.
But there's a remedy for that -- those who wish to see King's Landing can do so, thanks to a travel company offering walking tours of filming locations from the HBO drama.
San Francisco-based travel company Viator has launched walking tours of Dubrovnik, Croatia, and Belfast, Northern Ireland, two of the locations used to film the series.
The Dubrovnik tour lasts about three hours, showing travelers the walled city used to depict King's Landing and an 11th-century fortress featured in battle scenes like the bloody Battle of Blackwater. The Belfast tour, which runs about nine hours, includes a view of the caves where Melisandre gave birth to the "shadow baby" that killed Renly Baratheon and a visit to Ballycastle, to see where Varys was born as a slave in the Free Cities. Both tours are led by guides that Viator says are versed in "Thrones" lore.
More information on the tours, including pricing, is available on Viator's website.
"Game of Thrones" finishes up its third season this Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
