Gail Simmons of "Top Chef" expecting first child

The "Top Chef" family is about to get a little bigger.

Gail Simmons is pregnant with her first child, her rep confirmed to People on Tuesday. She and husband Jeremy Abrams will welcome the baby this winter.

Simmons, 37, is a judge on Bravo's "Top Chef," the host of "Top Chef Just Desserts" and will act as head critic on thenew season of "Top Chef Masters," which premieres next week. She's also a special projects director at Food & Wine magazine.

She and Abrams, head of the music programming company Audiostiles, married in 2008.

The baby will join a group of "Top Chef" children that includes "Masters" host Curtis Stone's 1-year-old son Hudson (with wife Lindsay Price), Padma Lakshmi's 3-year-old daughter Krishna and Tom Colicchio's three sons.
