"Friends" turns 20: See the stars then and now for the show's two-decade anniversary
It's the one where "Friends" turns 20.
Yes, the classic TV hit is officially two decades old -- it premiered on Sept. 22, 1994.
In some ways, it feels like little has changed since the show first became a hit. The show still airs episode after episode (only now it's in syndication, and you've likely seen the reruns enough times to recite them by heart), you still wish you could grab a coffee from Gunther at Central Perk -- and, if you're in New York, you actually can -- and New Yorkers still chuckle at the show's completely unrealistic depiction of NYC real estate. (Just try finding an apartment like Monica and Rachel's. We dare you.)
Those 10 seasons and 236 episodes branded The Rembrants' "I'll Be There For You" into our collective consciousness, launched a haircut craze -- raise your hand if you had "The Rachel" -- spawned quotable one-liners ("Could I be wearing any more clothes?") and launched its six stars to, well, stardom.
In celebration of the show's 20th birthday we're taking a look at the "Friends" alums, from back in the show's heyday to what they're doing now. Take a trip back down memory lane with Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Ross, Joey and Chandler in the gallery above, and share your favorite "Friends" moments (and quotes!) in the comments below.
