Fox plans eight new series for 2011-2012
(CBS) Fox unveiled its new fall and midseason schedules for 2011-2012 on Monday, and the lineups include four new comedies and three new dramas.
Among the new shows are "Lost" creator JJ Abrams' "Alcatraz," Steven Spielberg's futuristic-and-prehistoric "Terra Nova" and comedies like "New Girl" (starring Zooey Deschanel) and "I Hate My Teenage Daughter" (with Jaime Pressley).

Standards like "American Idol," "House" and "Glee" are still on the schedule, along with Simon Cowell's new talent series "The X Factor."
There will also be a "Bones" spinoff, called "The Finder," joining the schedule midseason.
"24" star Kiefer Sutherland's drama "Touch," about a father who discovers his autistic son can predict the future, was also picked up by the network, but does not yet have an airdate. Entertainment Weekly reports that Fox hopes to air the show midseason.
