Fourth of July Hot Dog Extravaganza!
Two things should always be part of your July 4th celebration: fireworks and hot dogs!
The fireworks won't happen until this weekend, but on "The Early Show" Friday morning, we got a head start on the hotdogs with Kevin Roberts, host of The Learning Channel's "Barbecue Pitmasters."

RECIPES:
Chili Cheese Dog
It's all about the spicy sauce in this dog delight.
INGREDIENTS: For the Chili
1 pound ground beef
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons, paprika
2 tablespoons, chili powder
1 teaspoon, black pepper
1 teaspoon, red pepper flakes
salt to taste
INGREDIENTS: For the Hot Dogs
8 Kosher All Beef hot dogs
8 good quality hot dog buns
METHOD:
In a large skillet over high heat add hamburger meat, brown and crumble. Add 1 cup of water, add rest of ingredients, stir together and bring to a boil. Lower to simmer and cook for about 30-45 minutes until meat is cooked through and onions are soft. Cook hot dogs in desired method, heat up buns and pour Texas chili over each.
Texas-Style Hot Dog
It's all about the smokiness of the barbecue sauce, the sweetness of the coleslaw and the crunchiness of the pickle. That's the way they do it in Texas.
INGREDIENTS: For the Pickleslaw
2 cups, shredded cabbage
2 teaspoons, celery seed
4 tablespoons, relish
3/4 cup, mayonnaise
3 tablespoons, apple-cider vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups barbeque sauce, use you favorite smoky flavor
INGREDIENTS: For the Hot Dogs
8 Kosher All Beef hot dogs
8 good quality hot dog buns
METHOD:
Add shredded cabbage to a large mixing bowl. Add celery seed, relish, mayonnaise, vinegar, salt and pepper. Mix well and put aside. Grill/boil/bake hot dogs and buns until desired doneness. Now build your Texas Dog. Add some barbecue sauce to the bun, add the hot dog, add some pickleslaw and enjoy.
