Fort Bragg Training Accident Kills 1, Injures 2

A training accident after a shooting at North Carolina's Fort Bragg left one person dead and two people injured, the Army said in a statement.

The incident is under investigation, according to the statement.

The dead person was only identified as a "range control contractor" killed after sustaining a gunshot wound, according to the statement. The injured people are another contractor, who also sustained a gunshot wound, and a solider who was grazed in the arm.

The wounded contractor was transported via air travel to the University of North Carolina campus at Chapel Hill, according to the statement. The soldier is being treated at Womack Army Medical Center.
