Fla. woman arrested for allegedly stabbing her drug dealer

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. --A Florida woman was arrested on charges of attempted murder after she allegedly stabbed a man during a drug exchange at a local park,reports CBS affiliate WTSP.

According to the arrest report, Erin Jackson stabbed 21-year-old Richard Richardson with a pocketknife Saturday evening. Witnesses reportedly told detectives that they saw the victim exit the suspect's car, screaming that he had been stabbed.

Jackson then allegedly sped out of the park. Deputies told reporters that Jackson, 26, and Richardson had interacted mostly because he was her drug dealer.

Officials with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office also say that her boyfriend, Kenneth Hoover, 32, helped her in trying to cover up the crime. He has since been booked for accessory after the fact, according to WTSP.

During the investigation, both Jackson and Hoover responded to investigators' requests for an interview, according to the station. Jackson then allegedly admitted to stabbing Richardson, adding that he was not armed and that did not make any threats against her.

Deputies also recovered Jackson's pocket knife at the scene of the stabbing, according to WTSP. Hoover later allegedly admitted to helping Jackson change her clothes and clean out her car.

Both were taken to Pinellas County Jail and Jackson was reportedly charged with attempted second degree murder, according to the station.
