Fla. teacher Amie Lou Neely accused of having sex with foreign exchange student

(CBS) PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - A 38-year-old Florida teacher was arrested Sunday after she was allegedly caught by her husband having sex with a 16-year-old foreign exchange student who was living at their home.

According to The Palm Beach Post, Amie Lou Neely was arrested on a sexual assault-related charge following a Port St. Lucie police investigation.

Police say Neely's husband caught the pair together Saturday after he used a smart phone app to track his wife's phone, WPBF reports. He allegedly found them having sex in a car near St. Lucie West Centennial High School.

Neighbors told police Saturday that the student showed up at their home saying Neely's husband kicked him out of the house for having sex with his wife, according to WPTV.

The Palm Beach Post reports that Neely blamed her actions on a "midlife crisis" and told police the 16-year-old kept asking her for sex. The student said they had sex more than once; Neely denied that.

A representative for the school where Neely worked, the Community Christian Academy in Stuart, told the New York Daily News that she's no long employed there as of Wednesday.

Neely was released from jail Sunday on $15,000 bail.
