Fla. man Allan Dunn kept wife's body in freezer for 10 years, officials say
(CBS/AP) SUN CITY CENTER, Fla. - Authorities say Florida man Allan Dunn kept his wife's body in a freezer for a decade so he could continue to collect her benefits.
Dunn committed suicide last August at age 86. When a woman who was helping prepare his estate came to his house, she found the remains of an elderly woman in a freezer on the back porch, police say.
The remains are believed to be Dunn's wife Margaret. The medical examiner believes the woman died of natural causes in 2000. Investigators say Dunn became guardian of his wife's estate in 1999 and hid the body so he could keep collecting her benefits.
